At Grace Place, Because Of What We Believe
And Because Of What We Value We:

  • Worship: We worship God for who He is and what He has done.
Psalm 95:1-7 — Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song. For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods. In His hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to Him. The sea is His, for He made it, and His hands formed the dry land. Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our maker; for He is our God and we are the people of His pasture, the flock under His care. Today, if you hear His voice.

  • Pray: We pray to God in order to know Him, to lay our requests before Him, and to find direction for our daily lives.
Psalm 66:16-20 — Come and listen, all you who fear God; let me tell you what He has done for me. I cried out to Him with my mouth; His praise was on my tongue. If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; but God has surely listened and heard my voice in prayer. Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld His love from me.

  • Study the Bible: We study the Bible to know God, the truth, and to find direction for our daily lives.
Hebrews 4:12 — For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

  • Pursue Single-mindedness: We focus on God and His priorities for our lives.
Matthew 6:33 — But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

  • Pursue Biblical Community: We fellowship with other Christians to accomplish God's purposes in our lives, others' lives, and in the world.
Acts 2:42-47 — They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

  • Engage Our Spiritual Gifts: We know and use our spiritual gifts to fulfill God's purposes.
Romans 12:4-6 — Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith.

  • Give Away Our Time: We invest our time in others by praying for them.
Colossians 3:17 — And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

  • Give Away Our Money: We give away our money to fulfill God's purposes.
2 Corinthians 8:7 — But just as you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us—see that you also excel in this grace of giving.

  • Give Away Our Faith: We give away our faith to fulfill God's purposes.
Ephesians 6:19-20 — Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given to me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

  • Give Away Our Lives: We give away our lives to fulfill God's purposes.
Romans 12:1-2 — Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.
