At Grace Place, Our Values Include:

  • Love: We sacrificially and unconditionally love and forgive others.
1 John 4:10-12 — This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and His love is made complete in us.

  • Joy: We have inner contentment and purpose in spite of our circumstances.
John 15:11 — I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.

  • Peace: We are free from anxiety because things are between God, ourselves, and others.
Philippians 4:6-7 — Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

  • Patience: We take a long time to overheat, and we endure patiently the unavoidable pressures of life.
Proverbs 14:29 — A patient man has great understanding, but a quick-tempered man displays folly.

  • Kindness/Goodness: We choose to do the right things in our relationships with others.
1 Thessalonians 5:15 — Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else.

  • Faithfulness: We have established a good name with Gode and with others based on our long-term loyalty to that relationship.
Proverbs 3:3-4 — Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.

  • Gentleness: We are thoughtful, considerate, and calm in dealing with others.
Philippians 4:5 — Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.

  • Self-Control: We have power, through Christ, to control ourselves.
Titus 2:11-13 — For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope — the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.

  • Hope: We can cope with the hardships of life and death because of the hope we have in Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 6:19-20 — We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where Jesus, who went before us, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.

  • Humility: We choose to esteem others above oursleves.
Philippians 2:3-4 — Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only your own interests, but also to the interests of others.
